Volt Ventures was founded with the mission of providing advisory and capital resources to entrepreneurs across disparate industries. Founded by Ross Dargahi, a serial entrepreneur and investor, Volt Ventures understands the challenges faced by founders as they focus their vision, develop their strategy, obtain capitalization, and execute against goals. Volt Ventures provides the advisory services and access to capital necessary for entrepreneurs to successfully form, launch, and grow their companies.

Prior to founding Volt Ventures, Ross was a cofounder and VP of Product Development at Zimbra; a software company acquired by Yahoo! for $350 Million in October 2007. Previously Ross was Director of Engineering and Director of Product Management with the Messaging Products Group at Openwave Systems. Ross joined Openwave in 2000 as part of the $850 million acquisition of Onebox where he was a founding engineer and senior architect. During his career in the technology industry, Ross has held senior positions at Sun Microsystems, Knight-Ridder Information, The Baylor College of Medicine's Medical Informatics and Computing Research Program, The Keck Center for Computational Biology, and Rice University. Ross earned his BS in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Houston.
